Registration for Summer 2015 opens on Feb 1st. Programs should be posted in December, and brochures will reach homes by January.
Our camps offer a unique life experience designed to help girls discover and develop themselves. Within a safe and supportive environment, girls participate in activities that develop skills, build self-esteem, and provide a sense of accomplishment. The programs are well-rounded and are appropriate to the age, interests, and abilities of the campers. What makes our camps so special is the connection experienced with new friends, the support of a trained staff, and outdoor experiences that provide progression, challenge, and FUN, all in a place just for girls!
The next level in summer adventures for girls. The overnight experience away from home offers extended program opportunities, lasting friendships and enhances independent living skills. From the high Sierra Mountains to the Pacific Coast, there’s a resident camp program waiting for you!
BOTHIN- Hidden in the hills of Marin County, and one hour north of San Francisco, Bothin features dormitory style living and a speciality focus including programs in The Bothin Theater Company, gardening at the BOG (Bothin Organic Garden), exploring the best of the bay, as well as traditional favorites! Bothin features a static and dynamic ropes course that all campers (4th grade and up) enjoy during the summer, and other groups may rent during the school year. This property is available for rent during the school year.
DEER LAKE- Near North Lake Tahoe, at an elevation of 6,800 feet and in between two beautiful lakes, Deer Lake resident camp features high adventure mountain programs from windsurfing, stand up paddle boarding, boating and wilderness survival to rock climbing. Explore the waterfront, climbing tower (4th grade and up) and amazing sites. Deer Lake features Adventure By Choice (ABC), allowing girls to pick their activities they are most interested in.
SKYLARK RANCH- Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, one hour south of San Francisco, Skylark Ranch resident camp features ocean beach exploration, an equestrian program (English, Western & Vaulting), fine arts, wilderness skills and high adventure. Climb the live tree high ropes course (4th grade and up) or the low ropes challenge course at camp during the summer, or rent the course during the school year. This property is available for rent during the school year.
SUGAR PINE- An enchanting forest in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Sugar Pine features a western horseback riding program, an adventure tower (4th grade and up), aquatics, and outdoor living skills. Every camper gets to ride at least once while at camp, and everyone will love the blanket of stars while the campfire glows.

VOLUNTEER RUN CAMPS
Day and resident camps run by volunteers and held at community locations or council properties throughout Northern California. Parents can often attend with their daughter in exchange for helping in different areas of the camp operation.Volunteer-run day camps throughout our council provide for quality Girl Scout experiences under the leadership of dedicated volunteers. Program aides and adult volunteers are always needed at these day camps.
LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS- Program Aide, Counselor In Training and Wrangler in Training
Older girls, 9th grade and up can have the opportunity to gain Counselor and/or Activity Leader skills through training and hands-on experience in a day or resident camp setting. Many camps offer leadership programs that range from beginning Program Aide to Counselor-In-Training, Wrangler In-Training and even Adventure Counselor-In-Training. Programs are by application only and require previous Girl Scout leadership training.
